Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name used by her parents. Lennox was a flute, piano and harpsichord in the Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 70s. She was able to survive on a student salary and part-time work to help supplement her income. Lennox did not feel happy with the quality of her abilities compared to the other students at the Royal Academy and began looking at other options. Lennox joined a group called Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. She left the band when the band was featured on I.T.V.s talent show New Faces. She was the main vocalist of The Tourists a British pop band between 1977 and 1980. It was here that she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they formed The duo Eurythmics. Lennox started work on Diva in 1992, her debut solo album. It received lots of praise both from critics and the public. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album by herself came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox compiled her top soul jazz blues tracks from early childhood. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four piano improvisations, was released by Lennox in the month of May, 2019. The E.P. This album is a companion piece to her Now I let you go... artwork, which was displayed at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. It's also her debut independently-released album. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954, is an Scottish philanthropist political activist and singer-songwriter. The Tourists were a new-wave group who had some popularity in the latter part of 1970s. In the following years, Lennox joined her fellow musician Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. In 1992, Lennox started her own solo career, releasing her debut album Diva that produced a number of hit tracks, including Why and Walking in Broken Glass. Medusa the album she released in 1995 contains cover versions of songs like No MoreI Love Yous andA Whiter Shade of Pale. Her six studio solo albums and her compilation album include a number of tracks.
